Project Manager

Position Description:

The Project Manager will manage multiple large-scale wetland and stream restoration projects within the Northeast Region and is the primary person responsible for managing project budgets, schedules, technical direction, and project QA/QC.  Responsibilities include oversight of field staff and directing field work, design oversight and subcontractor management, permitting oversight, construction management and sub-contractor management, and project maintenance and monitoring.

Job tasks and activities include:

  • Manage and oversee RES projects through all phases of project development, including; preliminary site investigations and data collection, wetland delineations, permit preparation and submittal, agency review and meetings, project construction, maintenance, and monitoring field work and reporting
  • Assist the sales team with technical support throughout the sales process
  • Assisting the sales team in supporting clients through the mitigation components of their permitting activities
  • Assist in preparing and writing site permits
  • Oversee the development of Site Resource Development Maps
  • Oversee all aspects of project QA/QC
  • Develop and track project budgets and schedules against company goals

The successful candidate will have the following skill set:

  • Strong background in natural resources management, construction, restoration ecology, project management and permitting is required
  • Basic understanding of stream systems, fluvial geomorphology, wetland characterization, wetland delineations, plant identification, and use of standard monitoring methodologies

Regulatory Project Manager, Texas

Reports to: Corporate Executive

Critical Success Factors:

  • Project management and oversight for RES mitigation banking and regulatory filings
  • Leverage third party expertise in soil science, hydrology, and biology/botany to deliver local knowledge that aids in scientific justifications for regulatory filings
  • Regulatory agency knowledge and background:  Proven experience base and understanding of what is actionable and within an agency’s jurisdiction. Multi-agency, multi-Corps-district, multi-state experience preferred.
  • Permitting Experience: Experience permitting single-site, multi-site, and linear projects across jurisdictional boundaries.

CAD/Survey Technician

Position Type: Full Time

Location: Pittsburgh, PA

RES is hiring a qualified and exceptional individual with survey field experience and proficiency in various AutoCAD platforms to fill the position of CAD/Survey Technician.

Survey Field Experience:

  • Knowledge and experience using Trimble GNSS systems, TSC3 Controllers, Trimble GeoXH controllers, Trimble S5 Robotic stations, Nikon total stations and all standard survey equipment.
  • Experience performing the following surveys: property boundary/easement, traverse, topographic, construction stake-out, control and as-built using various means and methods.
  • Crew chief or instrument man experience is a plus.

Software Experience:

  • Knowledgeable and proficient use of AutoCAD, Civil3D and Map3D platforms to create a wide array of engineering and regulatory data sets.
  • Moderate familiarity with Carlson and Trimble Business Center is a plus.

Work Requirements:

  • Be able to perform surveying tasks on all types of terrain under all types of weather conditions.

Purpose:

This position enables company growth through the development of a complete characterization and understanding of markets and market dynamics for ecological restoration and water resource solutions in target geographies.

Accountabilities:

  • Develop and update demand pipeline for target geography. Work with each state’s team to quantify demand and enable revenue generation efforts
  • Enable current and future business in target geographies through the development of in-fill reports as well as supply and demand analysis
  • Coordinate and author RFQ and RFI responses to pre-qualify RES into new business opportunities and author RFP responses and client proposals that build RES backlog of business
  • Utilize GIS to map and analyze prospective client projects and land assets
  • Research and report on offset solution opportunities in both target geographies and new markets as they arise

Corporate Real Estate Attorney

Reports to: General Counsel

Purpose:

Resource Environmental Solutions is seeking a Corporate Real Estate Attorney with experience and practice in reviewing title insurance commitments, surveys, environmental site assessments and other due diligence materials arising in real estate transactions, working with leases and subordinations and coordinating the closing of transactions.

Activities and Accountabilities:

This position structures, drafts and negotiates agreements, manages outside counsel, and counsels internal colleagues on:

  • Draft, review, respond, and synthesize large quantities of deal documents, e.g. LOIs, PSAs, lease agreements, objection letters, amendments, title, surveys, and other third party reports, etc.
  • Resolve entitlement impediments and issues; document and secure private entitlements
  • Participate in the negotiation and completion of various real estate agreements and other contracts including communicating with landowners and their attorneys regarding the execution of real estate documents
  • Sourcing operations, fulfillment and transportation facilities, including leasing agreements (both existing facilities and build-to-suits), and land use and zoning issues
  • Property management agreements
  • Support the General Counsel on internal initiatives and compliance matters, as needed.
